Founded in 1913 as Verdi Soccer Club in honor of composer Giuseppe Verdi, the Parma Calcio Men’s Team holds a rich legacy in Italian soccer. The club secured promotion to Serie A for the first time in 1991 and, after a period of rebuilding, returned to the top tier of Italian soccer with another promotion in 2024. Throughout its history, Parma Calcio rose to prominence under notable managers such as Nevio Scala and Carlo Ancelotti, securing major trophies like the Coppa Italia in 1992 and three UEFA Cup titles in 1995, 1999, and 2002.
The Parma Calcio Women’s First Team, founded in 2013, has grown with the support of sponsors, the local community, and significant infrastructure investments by Krause Group. The Noceto facility, affectionately called “Il Noce,” serves as a dedicated space for the Women’s Team to grow talent, foster community, and advance the women’s game. Supporting women in soccer goes beyond competition; it is about increasing visibility, opening doors, and paving the way for future generations on and off the field. Every success on the field at Noceto helps break down barriers, inspires young players, and reinforces that achievement in soccer, and in life, is possible for everyone. This investment in women’s soccer is further complemented by Krause Group’s commitment to creating opportunities for growth and impact in the sport, with space for everyone to thrive.
In addition, the Mutti Training Center in Collecchio, a premier sports facility located just fifteen kilometers southwest of Parma, accommodates the Men’s First Team and Youth (Primavera) sector. Initially constructed in 1996 and upgraded in 2013, the center reflects the club’s focus on technical development and unity, offering an environment where youth teams, starting with Pulcini (ages 9-11), train alongside the main team.
During the 2023–24 season, both Parma’s Men’s and Women’s Teams competed in Serie B, with each making notable strides. The Women’s Team showed strong progress, participating in both Serie B and Serie A competitions throughout 2023, further building momentum and raising the club’s overall performance. The club hosts its Men’s matches at the historic Ennio Tardini Stadium, which seats 23,324 fans.
Parma Calcio leadership team is committed to accelerating global growth, requiring a continued focus on investment and strategic development. Parma Calcio’s long-term vision is to drive sporting excellence and a sustainable business model. The club is dedicated to ensuring its success, building leadership, and seeing the team thrive in Serie A and top youth leagues. Our goal is not only to impact communities but also to change the game, leading women’s soccer innovation and setting new standards in the sport.
Parma Calcio’s commitment to social responsibility rooted in its local community has grown significantly under Krause Group ownership since 2020. Our teams (Women’s, Men’s, and Youth) are all involved in initiatives that contribute to social good. At the heart of these efforts is dedicated staff, particularly the Soccer Social Responsibility Officer, Disability Access Officer, and Supporter Liaison Officer, whose job is to foster collective responsibility. They work in collaboration with our Children’s Safeguarding Officer to ensure a holistic approach to community care and protection.
